Deskripsi
The World Bank lists Indonesia as the world’s fourth most populous nation, 10th largest economy in purchasing power parity, and a member of the G-20. Indonesia has made enormous gains in poverty reduction, cutting the poverty rate by more than half since 1999, to 9.78% in 2020. Prior to the COVID-19 crisis, Indonesia was able to maintain consistent economic growth, qualifying the country as upper middle income status in July 2020. How globally competitive is Indonesia? This presentation will compare Indonesia with other emerging international nations in ASEAN, BRICS and the Central and Eastern Europe. It will measure Indonesia’s economic rank over the last two decades and identify its strong and weak pillars pf global competitiveness. The presentation will end with a discussion on the competences that Indonesia needs to enhance to increase competitiveness, and the impact of the Belt & Road Initiative and the Digital Economy on the economic growth of Indonesia.Materi
